

Featured Project: Fiesta Texas
Fiesta Texas, owned by Six Flags Over Texas, built their new Superman Roller
Coaster to be open in the year 2000. Six Flags contracted Erfurt Blasting to use controlled blasting techniques to make room for this new ride. One of the challenges for this project was that the 80 to 90 foot high wall did not have a smooth face. The first row of holes on the face had a burden that ranged from 6 to 15 feet. We decided to laser profile the walls, so that we could load the accurate amount of explosives per bore hole foot. This was extremely important so as not to damage any of the existing rides that were in close proximity. Take a look at some of the videos for this project |
